Dis-orders                                                                                                                                                      dis-present
Dis-orders  [Militarese, all dialects] Orders or soul commands given by Satan Lucifer directly, or indirectly through his
subordinates, or such orders communicated via electronic or other means, such as by Bugish dialect or computer console and
which are accompanied by Hiss sign (*) mark to indicate the price of Dis-obedience for failure to carry out such orders.
Especially such orders associated with weapons testing and ordnance, the secret storage of nuclear fuels or bomb grade nuclear
or thermonuclear materials, as well as atomic hydrogen, plutonium and thermonuclear weapons.

Dis paints and plastics da spastics  [Simp Sleaze] An arm of the chemical and biological industries of Dis nation located in
Sewercide at Level-17. This unique complex of industrial and petrochemical facilities is the primary manufacturing base for many
structural components of the induction tubeway systems for Bottomside. Technical background information on the denotative
referents for the term follows. The term ‘paint’ includes lacquer, Portland cement paint, printing ink, calcimine (a white or
colored liquid of whiting or zinc white, glue, and water, used as a wash for plastered surfaces) and whitewash. Technically, paint
consists of a mixture of a pigment and a binding medium, usually thinned with a solvent to form a liquid vehicle. Pigments impart
color.  Oil paints are pigments dispersed in a drying oil. One of the oldest oil vehicles, and still the commonest, is linseed oil, but
vegetable oils and fish oil are also employed. The oils are diluted with a thinner, usually turpentine. In Dis-lingo, the term paint
also subsumes ‘naval stores,’ a trade term for the products obtained from the pine tree. Old stumps and fallen branches as well as
newly cut trees yield the products. The term ‘naval stores’ originally included the masts and cordage of ships, but is now applied
only to such materials as tar, pitch, pine oil and ‘spirits of turpentine.’ Naval stores are now used largely in the manufacture of
soap, paint, varnish, shoe polish, lubricants, linoleum and roofing material. The term ‘plastic’ denotes a mixture containing
various soul derived ‘organic derivatives’ as binders that are capable of being shaped by application of heat, pressure or both.
Derivatives of resin, cellulose or protein are commonly mixed with other common substances including fillers, dyes, plasticizers,
accelerators, and solvents. The first important synthetic plastic (celluloid) was discovered (c. 1869) by John W. Hyatt (1837-
192O) and manufactured by him in 1872. The principal resinous materials for use as plastics are too numerous to mention.
Virtually any desired color or shape and many combinations of the properties of hardness, durability, elasticity and resistance to
heat, cold and acid can be obtained in a plastic, which is available in the form of bars, tubes, sheets, coils and blocks, and these
can easily be fabricated to various specifications. Compression, extrusion and injection molding include the procedures and
processes for achieving the shapes or forms desired. New uses for plastics are constantly being discovered. After World War II
such new uses included (but by no means were limited to) optical lenses, artificial eyes and dentures, nylon fibers, machine gears,
shotgun shells, fabric, coatings, wall surfacing and plastic lamination, safety glasses, packaging materials, electrical equipment,
bomb casings and wading, insulators, tableware, radio housings, building panels, musical instruments, records, upholstery,
automobile parts, costume jewelry, boat and automobile bodies, furniture and a host of prosthetic devices. Indeed, were it not for
the almost unlimited uses to which these materials may be adapted, it is reasonably certain that the foundations of the modern
technological state of Hell could not have been cemented into the fabric of geopolitical, military and postindustrial society. For
explication of the acronymic term SPASTIC, see ‘Special Procedures for Allied Souls Taken in Combat’.

Dis-port  [Dis Lingo Lick Waz Nazi] Any of the ports of call for the pig boat fleets of the River Styx, but especially the home
ports along Limbo’s farside and the Churlman cities on the nether shores of Dis proper, where fueling from atomic fuel dumps
and naval stores soul offloading induction tubes are located.  [Sewer Sleaze] To dump a load of compacted organic material into a
wharf side induction portal for pulverizing preliminary to liquid processing at Level 17.

dis-patch  [Sadis Sleaze] To pluck the pubic hair from a victim as a preliminary to other forms of sadism associated with
interrogation. To communicate one’s displeasure through any of the standard forms of soul mangling, with special preoccupation
or attention to the genitals of one’s victim. [Donkey Crappy] To send an order (to topside) by a SUCK agent who has undergone
specialized training and reorientation preliminary to resurfacing through the medium of the Karma cycle. To issue a command to
be carried out immediately, regardless of the cost or consequences to life or limb.

Dis-patch  [Proppo Graffiti Jibe] Any of the principal news sources or news organs of Dis proper, particularly those organs
responsible for proliferating the beliefs, creeds, doctrines or propaganda of the state (See ‘Dis Dis-course’ and ‘Dis gaggle a

Dis-peckers an’puds da loons  [Bigamous Hogamous] The diverse psychiatric arm of the motion pictures and screenwriters
guild of Bottomside.  Psychiatric services in Hell reached a critical urgency as early as 6000 B.C. when plutonian forces of
prehistoric origin established the general outlines for the system of retributive justice that prevailed, more or less intact, until the
year 1854. The Council of Necromantic and Darkling Designs had decreed as early as 8422 B.C. that recriminate souls of the
class of demons were entitled to some form of psychic evaluation, rehabilitation and potential parole, depending upon the nature
of the original incrimination, and that a suitable period of carefully monitored service to the state might serve as a means of
prolonging the usefulness of wayward and recalcitrant citizens whose politically rash acts had detracted from the path of
obedience, the ways of propriety and proper fealty to the powers and dark purposes of the ruling class of demons and other
sinister figures of the governing castes of the infernal regions.  Although the intention of the Necromantic Council’s
recommendations was largely ignored from the outset, this was principally the result of a serious lack of the means and methods
for carrying out the planned pogrom of counseling and rehabilitation due to the regressive and mildly intolerant state of affairs
into which. the study of the psychology of the soul had fallen over the long period of the dark ages (60,000 B.C.-1854 A.D.) in
Dis. Nevertheless, with the onset of the Age of Enlightenment (1854-1855) and the ascension to power of Hiss  Majesty, Black
Pops Regnans III, an intense period of policy review, under the auspices of The Reich Titanian Councils and the Codices of Bent,
resulted in the Proclamation of Procrustis and Cephalic Intent, which tended to rectify this alarmingly long term problem.  Over
the course of the next 100 years, numerous agencies evolved to cater to the long term psychiatric problems associated with life
after death in the infernal regions, and a vast body of literature concerning the subtleties of infralapsarian psychiatry accumulated
in the archives of the Frontal Hobos Prophylaxis and Psychotic Indices of Dis. With the coming of the age of computerized
record keeping and the micro-miniaturization of data storage and retrieval technologies, access to this enormous mass of clinical,
descriptive and experimental data became, for all practical purposes, almost instantaneous, thus allowing for the most detailed and
exacting of scientific inquiry into the nature, form and substance of those varieties of mental disorder prevalent in the myriad
populations of institutionalized souls in the penal institutions of Dis nations. For a more detailed account of the significance of this
development and other matters germane to this entry, see ‘Dis-Co Psychoses and Neurotics Anal Canal Neurosis. With the
invention of the first practical motion picture camera by Headwierd Mudbridge and Jugs Dingle Eyes-iks in 1882, and the rabid
growth of the motion picture industry in Dis, which followed soon thereafter, the center for the development of the motion
picture arts shifted from the nether shore stalags on the border of Dis proper, where much of the early experimental film work
was conducted, to the demon dense population center of Neu-Babelsburg Dis of Pandemonium, and by 1910 no less than 2000
production companies were actively engaged in the recreational pastime of producing pornographic motion pictures. Some brief
indication of the impact this development had on the penitent populations of Bottomside may be gleaned from the glistening fact
that by 1915 over half of the population of souls in the die-camps on Nagshima Plains, which numbered in the untold billions,
suffered from some form of psychotic episode of a sado-sexual nature as a result of mandatory participation in one or another
form of sadistic sexual encounter before a motion picture camera, and by 1917 that figure had doubled again. The sexual
practices and reproductive behavior of demons have long been subjects shrouded by deliberate misinformation. As with many
similar taboo subjects, over the ages numerous theories and equally worthless so-called firsthand accounts of sexual encounters
with demons have perpetuated a host of erroneous beliefs among topside peoples of both primitive and advanced cultures, states
and nations. The simple truth is that demons do not, strictly speaking, mate with humans of either of the principal genders; nor do
they divide or multiply by asexual reproduction or vegetative reproduction, fission, sporulation, budding, fragmentation, cutting
and grafting, nor employ a form of artificial regeneration. Neither are they heterogamous nor parthenocarpic, nor does cross-
pollination or copulation play any significant role in demonic reproduction. Instead, demons reproduce by artificial
parthenogenetic means.’ that is by the development of an egg stimulated by chemical or mechanical means. In a sense, demons
are oviparous, since they produce eggs that hatch after leaving the body of the male. A specialized organ (ovipositor) hung from
the abdomen is utilized for depositing the egg in a host (victim) of any warm-blooded species. Any naturally occurring body
cavity in the host’s anatomy, or one created for the moment by slashing or bashing, may serve the immediate purpose of storage
and warm incubation of the egg (only one to a customer).  Maturation of the egg occurs in a period of about three weeks and is
associated with the formation or discharge of pus (suppuration) from the host’s body cavity at the site of implantation. When the
rectal channel or alimentary canal of a victim serves as the site for impregnation, the resulting pus festers throughout the host’s
gastrointestinal system. If this residue is extracted from the victim before the demon egg hatches, it may be processed into a kind
of fermented cheese that is considered a table delicacy among the demon orders of Dis. If it is not extracted (by means of
mechanical induction) the viscous fluid and the surrounding viscera--heart, lungs, liver, kidneys and intestines--of the victim are
consumed as humble pie by the voracious demonic humanoid that emerges. The homuncular demon is fully independent, mobile
and capable of sustaining its biological needs within a short period of time following ‘birth.’ If it survives the vicissitudes of the
early formative years of its corporal existence and manages to avoid becoming a victim in its own right as the incubator of an act
of demonic reproduction, it will mature to the status of ‘adult’ in the course of a century or so. By topside standards, however,
its typical lifespan (on average) will amount to some 14 years.  And during this period, it will receive neither aid nor consolation
whatsoever, unless it can dominate its peers. For nature has not been kind to demons and evolution has stripped them of tears.

dispense  [Scatoloco] To distribute tribute (flesh) or retribution (pain) to those who are deserving of rewards for services
rendered to Dis. To provide pleasure and pain in parts of equal measure simultaneously in order to instruct others in the arts of
torture and sadomasochistic pleasure.

Dis-period  [Received Standard Higamous] A period of time of arbitrary length, characterized by a common theme, quality or
value, or by a set of beliefs, a movement, a credo, a pervasive trend, fad, fetish, or an inclination or tendency to exhibit some
common (or uncommon) thread, strain or relationship, and especially one perceived as a distinctive attribute of the period of time
so characterized. Such a span of time as the waz nazi period (1889-1984) in Limbo. In Hellish historiography, periods are
typically distinguished from crazes and phases that are transitory or ephemeral and bear no particular or significant causal
relationship to what has gone before or what may follow.  Periods, by way of contrast, are perceived as directly or causally
related in so far as they may be shown to have evolved from their antecedents or to have contributed to their precedents. Periods,
therefore, are conceived of as stages in the ontological progression of timely events, and, as such, they are shaped, sharpened and
directed, in order that a measure of direct control may be applied to the creation of the course and structure of the future. By
means great and small and by methods clandestine and forceful, the deliberate and relentless dark designs of Dis are
foreshadowed, prefigured and presaged by a merciless attention to the details of periods and an implacable willingness to shape,
rend or terrorize to achieve the most inconsequential as well as the most consequent ends.

Dis-pharmaceuticals  [Burocratese] A branch or arm of the biochemical War Powers Productions Board of DIS concerned with
basic research and development of varied chemical and biological weapons for warfare, for example poison gasses such as
chlorine gas, napalm, etc., as well as germ or bacteriological weapons employing highly infectious microorganisms that produce
diseases in men, crops, animals, and insects. The study of poison warfare has long been a subject of keen interest among
students of the military sciences in Hell as a result of long standing applications of the karma cycle in the system of retributive
justice in Dis. As has been implied earlier in this document, a soul’s progress toward enlightenment depends upon the degree of
sacrifice and self-knowledge that is acquired during the course of many lifetimes of good works, proper conduct, good behavior
and right thinking, but reincarnation is a two way street. By this is meant that the sequential nature of the soul’s cycle of birth,
death and rebirth (transmigration) is dependent upon the choices made over a lifetime a soul makes progress toward achieving an
ideal pattern of behavior. When the sum total of one’s deeds during a lifetime is evaluated at the moment of death, the quantified
evil that a soul may be justly accused of having wrought is subtracted from the sum total of quantified goodness. If the remainder
is then capable of expression as a negative number, no matter how small, then the negative is said to have outweighed the positive
and the course of the next reincarnation is set. In those instances where the discrepancy lies greatly within the negative, the entire
order of the soul’s being may be upset. In such cases the forms and formulas of the Karma cycle dictate that the soul be
remanded to a lower order of life form for an indeterminate period of time but not less than 2000 animate cycles (2000 births and
deaths within the proscribed fixed lower life form) until such time as space is available within the order of the next higher or
lower life form, depending upon a host of other variables. For example, it is conceivable that the soul of a despicable and
inveterate criminal, of the class of life form referred to as human, could, at death, receive a sentence to inhabit the form of
another so-called lesser mammal (such as a cow, pig, or rat) during the course of the next reincarnation of the Karma cycle.
Naturally, this cycle would not begin (the rebirth would not take place) until the soul had completed its period of recriminate
service in ethereal form in Hell. Assuming the worst case example, it is theoretically possible that soul regression, through a series
of cycles, could devolve through lower and lower orders of life forms, to the level of unicellular plants and animals. A series of
experimental research programs, funded through the auspices of Dis government’s Geriatrics Institutes for Social Dis-service,
had shown as early as 1722 that frogs, bats, cats, salamanders, snakes and spiders were suitable objects for soul regression and
storage of subject souls. Current research trends have added a dizzying number of targeted life forms to this list. The quest for
ever more efficient methods of housing the unrepentant souls of Dis nation has now moved far beyond the level of organismic life
represented by flies, fleas and lice, and is rapidly approaching successful regressions to the level of rice, weeds, slugs, snails and
other members of the class gastropoda. Promising results are also being obtained with experiments concerning coelenterates such
as hydroids, jellyfish, sea anemones, and corals as well as echinoderms (star fish, sea urchins) and protozoans of the chiefly
parasitic forms including the ciliates, flagellates, spore-formers, amoeboid forms and suctorians. The parasitic flagellates include
the trypanosomes, which cause African sleeping sickness. One of several promising sporozoans is Babesia bigemina, the cause of
Texas cattle fever. Also, much attention has recently been given to the class of suctorians because they suck up the protoplasm
of their prey through tentacles. Some 15,000 species of the phylum Protozoa have so far been identified, although most still
remain to be tested. Concomitant with the rise of scientific inquiry in Hell with respect to the subtle processes of the Karma
cycle, there had occurred as well a growing interest in various problems later associated with pest control vector analysis, which
proliferated due to the enormous expansion of the target life form populations as a result of uncontrolled experimental
circumstances like those described above. Housing souls in flies, fleas and cockroaches had seemed like a good idea at the time,
but as these insects and other populations swelled and spread willy nilly throughout the regions of Dis and Limbo, it was not long
before even the most jaded of demons was clamoring for respite from the unbridled territorial depredations of these minor
minions of Hell’s nether regions and legions. It was in response to these and other pressing population problems that the
pharmaceuticals industry of Dis was born.  The earliest forms of biological weapons used in Hell to combat plagues of insects
were generally classified as stomach poisons, contact poisons, and fumigants. The stomach poisons, which enter the insect’s
alimentary system and cause death, are used against chewing insects such as ants, flies, crickets, grasshoppers and cutworms.
Arsenic compounds are among the oldest and most widely used stomach poisons. Others are fluorine compounds, used against
cockroaches and other common pests; salts of copper; organic poisons such as hellebore; and synthetic compounds. Contact
poisons are used against insects with piercing-sucking mouth parts, such as aphids, mosquitoes, and bedbugs. They kill on
contact, either as respiratory poisons or skin irritants. Contact poisons include oils, nicotine, lime-sulfur and DDT. The fumigants
are effective against all types of insects but must be used in confined spaces, since they are toxic to other species as well.
Another class of poisons (well over 2000 varieties have been discovered since 1902) is classified under the term ‘organic
phosphates,’ which includes parathion, malathion, schradan, and systox, all of which are absorbed into the sap of plants and
remain toxic for weeks. Insecticides are applied by sprays or dusts over large areas or by aerosol “bombs” locally. However,
immensely disquieting information brought to light recently concerning the side effects of insecticides suggests the much more
serious and extensive precautions are in order to limit their widespread use. Many of the newer varieties, particularly DDT,
contain cancer-inducing agents that enter the host’s body as residues on virtually all the foodstuffs consumed and are stored there
in fatty deposits. The organic phosphates, among the most poisonous chemicals known, are closely allied to the deadly nerve
gases developed in connection with biological warfare. Cancer, leukemia, sterility, and various nerve diseases have been observed
among warm-blooded animals whose diet includes plants treated with these insecticides. For more information concerning the
first use of poison warfare in Limbo, see ‘Dis-Mist’. For similar information concerning Dis proper, see ‘dis-mal.’ Additional
background information and practical applications for the use of poison warfare may be obtained under the entry ‘snuffs, sleeping
and inheritance powders’ in the data files of the University of Dis-Paris Abstracts, Volume 4313, subtopic ‘Cons of the Genocidal
Jonestowns and the Cons Kamikaze.” See also “Paleography and Ideography of the Cons of the Medical Con-Fraternities and Con-
Federations,” as well as “Cogitations on the Kong Cons of the Pentagram and the Pentagon. The Cons of Ghoul viz Toxic Gobble
Mixed wid Rabble and Rubble.” A general treatment of the subject of germ warfare is contained in the four volume work by
Marie Madeleine d’ Aubray, Marquise de Brainvile (1630-1676) under the entry ‘Poison Affair,’ in “Cons of Conception and
Concise Conclusion Now Conceded as Non-Conceptual and Concentrated for Consent Before Consumption.” Finally, a thorough
treatment of the history of chemical poisons applied to the insect populations of Sewercide for vector control and analysis can be
found in “Contagious Cons of Chemicals for Contamination, Contempt and Constipation,” by Alessandro de’ Medici (topside
1511-37) and Lucrezia Borgia (T. 1480-1519), daughter of Pope Alexander VI.

Dis-plamm  [All Militarese Dialects] A top secret code name designating a plot hatched by Satan Lucifer in 1937 for the
procurement of laborers and migrant miners for the uranium mines of the subcontinental Colorado Plateau region and points
south, north, and west. Topside historians have devoted uncounted hours and thousands of volumes of text to an inquiry into the
causes of that disastrous, global conflict referred to somewhat blandly as the Second World War.  Numerous theories have been
advanced over the years since 1945 to account for how such a monstrous crime against humanity could have occurred in the
progressive period of the twentieth century, for this war, unlike any other, was extended across whole continents and was fought
by the belligerent navies of many nations across most of the seas and oceans of the planet earth. Never before in the long and
dreary epic of human warfare had such a prolonged and costly struggle bathed the races and nations of the world in a comparable
torrent of blood. And never before had civilian populations suffered during the course of a war to the extent of horror
unimaginable as this worldwide conflagration induced. For what purpose, then, was this mighty ritual of organized and universal
aggression fought and to what ends and purposes the loss of 1ife, the pain and suffering, the cost in natural resources
squandered, and the apparent uselessness of the effort to achieve a lasting peace? Hissssssssssssssssssssssssss.’

Dis-play  [Burocratese] A dramatic performance of Hellish dimensions, especially one based upon a broad historically accurate
perspective, panoramic in scope, and concerned with the spectacle of man’s inhumanity to man, the wages of sin, or any of the
known, apparently limitless possibilities for human suffering, wickedness and death. An epic theatrical morality play, staged
before the assembled multitudes of Dis nation, performed by the collective thespian society of Dis, in accordance with the
Thanatos Code, for the edification of prominent, newly inducted citizen souls as an orientation to the cultural norms and social
values of Plutonian society.

display  [Hogamous Sleaze] To perform a sexual service for Dis; to suck the prickly end of a testo-snozzle; to strip one’s victims
before punishment, for the purpose of inspecting sexual organs prior to their removal for culinary ends.

displace  [Sadis Sleaze] The act of criticizing one’s insubordinates by use of poison. A place where such a practice is conducted.
A place where the victim of such a poisoning is fondle-fucked, after a poison has been successfully administered and the victim is
helpless but still conscious.

Dis-plot  [Received Standard Hogamous] Any plot concocted in Dis for an uncommon purpose, but especially one concerned
with ideations revolving around population control (see ‘Dis-naked die plot dickens’ and ‘Dis New Deal’).

Dis-ponderous  [Donkey Crappy] As heavy as the force of a fifty megaton nuclear explosion, or like the blast produced by fifty
thousand tons of conventional explosives.  Of or like the Pacific Ocean, topside (this pond over us).

disposable  [Scatoloco] Marked for destruction and final internment in Dis. Designated as fodder for the formal food chain of
Bottomside.  That which is possible or probable as a means of enhancing the staple supplies of soul food in Sewercide.  Put on
display or posed for pederastic purposes in a butt dump in any of the regions of Dis or Limbo.

dis-present  [Bigamous Hogamous]   A select cut of human flesh, garnished with brain, tongue, eye or reproductive organ,
exchanged by business antagonists prior to the formalities associated with settling commercial disputes or wars in Hell.
Something claimed to have been sent but never sent, in order to imply that the receiver has deliberately failed to acknowledge the
gift, as a means of reneging on one’s obligation to return a gift for a gift that one has never received. Any form of duplicity raised
to the level of an antagonistic art form in Hell.
